Great interview and the length doesn't matter to me when you are talking about interesting stuff. But the one thing I just can't believe is that Shaun Sutner hasn't skied Otis Ridge. It's practically the definition of quintessential New England old time ski scene. And it skis much bigger than it is.
Unfortunately I didn't get to Blandford. But based on how Shaun Sutner described it, I'm guessing it is probably the most comparable ski area to Otis Ridge (except never the closing part, hopefully!)
I am still hopeful someone will buy Blandford. Jon Schaefer told me he wasn't interested, unfortunately, but it is intact and for sale if you're interested!
This was great. Super interesting and informative. Really enjoyed the MA ski industry history and segment on predicted future expansion in NH. Also agree that Berkshire East is under rated. Without the Indy Pass I would never have tried it but am now a huge fan.

I have to admit I haven't either - and it's not far from me. I'll fix that this winter for sure.

Thanks! I can’t wait until Berkshire expand even more.
