Great podcast, Wonderful to hear Henri's view of the sport through the eyes of a African American skier. Btw, went on a Black Ski trip with my uncle back in "76" (Seven Springs, PA), and more over grew in the Hudson Valley skiing Mt. Beacon, and I love the "Cats". Thanks again Henri.
I really enjoyed this podcast. As a follow-up to this podcast, I would like to hear a panel of NBS members talk about their experiences. I started skiing in 1979. But, my first NBS Summit wasn't until 1996. One of my first Western trips to Colorado with 3 other African-Americans in 1984 a white lady stopped at our lunch table, stared at us, and said "what are they doing here". I told her "we work and we take vacations too".
Really enjoyed this edition of the podcast. One other option worth mentioning is the Powderhorn "Bob Beverly Free Learn to Ski" program designed to introduce anyone with an interest to the sport. I have no connection to the resort other than a couple fun days of riding, I was just impressed with their program.
