That shared lift tower on Flying Yankee/Triple just seems sketch. They really need to cut new trails at the summit and rehaul where the summit lift is going.

Attitash does have some of the most fun terrain in New England in my opinion. It almost had some real attention to terrain park when Carinthia/Big Boulder were blowing up also. They just always seem so close to being able to pull off A tier resort status but manage to mismanage itself to remain C tier.

Last time I was there I remember being chased over a paper cup that I was supposed to pay for. Told them to take it back and Im not paying for a water fountain cup. Raise lift prices if they need to but I dont want to be nickeled and dimed over a cup that is literally worth less than a nickel. This was post Vail acquisition also, "Experiance of a lifetime" LOL.

Stuart, at the end of your comment, glad you visited using Western Mass. It all wasn't so bad, right? Otis Ridge is all we have left in or adjacent to the Springfield area, which also used to be fed by Hartford CT. area ski enthusiasts. And ANOTHER 20 minutes on 23, and a left in Blandford, would have brought you to the shuttered Blandford area. I know I opine perhaps too much on that, but it seems a shame. A great layout, still undoubtedly needing investment despite Butternut's extensive efforts, maybe it needs a snow angel with funds it won't mind losing some of. Climate change yes, but there is a string of low altitude ski areas reaching south through CT, New York, New Jersey,...
