When I ski at vail I dont worry about what it costs. I use my equity line of credit. My last trip cost just above $25 K. Three days and one of those it rained. I bought three pairs of skis and quite foolishly left them at the bottom of the hill when I left.
I laughed so hard I fell off my breakfast bench. But seriously, squirrel meat and a shotgun shell would never get you more than a 10 trip ticket for the T-Bar at Labrador Mt
Very good! My wife n i got married April 1st 1977 and went on our honeymoon with a college group from SoCal. 7 nights 6 days lifts, rnd trip airfare all transports n lodging for $225 ea. Been going strong fir 44 yrs. Thanx Vail for he memories. The year before same thing so we decided to tie the knot !! Thanx
I'd love to see some more humorous skiing satire articles like this one! Although I'm embarrassed to admit just how far I got into the article before I realized it was satire... The state of skiing at Vail's flagship resorts, and Vail's business plans aren't very far off from this article!
Wow. The classic razor blade strategy. Cheap razor (Epic pass) and expensive blades (everything else at the resort). Plus huge increase in crowds driven by low pass price. Likely I will never ski a Vail resort again.
Single-Day Lift Ticket on Vail Mountain Hits $1,566

So vail will be out of the business in five years. Too bad so sad. Dont care.
Maybe some of the old family owned areas will make a come back.
That would be nice.
OMG! You scared me to death. That isn’t funny! Lol. I was in shock and it worried me. My heart is just now slowing down.
