Loved this. I was a ski instructor at Alpine Valley in high school, and you are absolutely right that night skiing is woven into the culture of skiing there. I would drive there after school every night to teach skiing. The midwest is a breeding ground for excellent trick skiers and just generally great "ski handling" because half (80%?) of what you're doing is just dicking around on skis rather than skiing. I live in Telluride now and good god what I would pay to just have See Forever open at night. Give me the lights!!!

Stuart, Thanks for another great edition. Your expose of Vail’s sleeze filled doughnut of shill - selling passes and then with your money tightly clutched in their bank account operate the areas only a few hours per week - a huge decrease from their usual and customary past operating hours. Any skier who trusts Vail is a fool who is too easily parted with their money. Vail’s trustworthy quotient is on par with Putin’s.

When you mentioned Putin, I couldn't help but laugh when I remembered the time Stuart posted a screenshot of a deranged email he received accusing him of being an asset of Putin.

Great small hill. There snow is surprisingly good for the mid west. I actually hit more scrapped off spots on my trips to Colorado.
