The reason skiing in Europe is less expensive than the U.S. is because the mountains are so small and the food so bad and overpriced. NOT! The reverse is true. Here we serve up burgers that can double as hockey pucks and fry potatoes in used snow cat oil. And who could imagine that France and Italy would have good food? It’s because they refuse to eat crap. The McDonalds in France serve grilled salmon. And the alps are so small Hannibal crossed them on pachyderms. And those short runs like The Parsenn take a half hour to ski - if you ski very fast - and a train to take you back to base. All this considered I enjoy my 600’ local bumps.
I wish you had asked when construction of the Schweitzer day lodge area, or at least the parking lot, was going to start again.
