The $1429 you site as last year's Gold Pass was actually the Gold Plus pass and was the equivalent to the Platinum without the Ikon Base pass in it. The straight up Gold was $1119 I believe on the flash sale and that is what this year's Gold pass is, so the price actually crept up $50. The Gold Plus no longer exists, replaced by the Upgraded Platinum pass package.
