Great to see the $219 night pass which I think may actually be a drop from $295 last year according to my Wayback Machine research? Anyone local who skis Shawnee Peak knows that the night skiing is where it's at. Though from rare experiences, I do know that a different, seemingly non-local crowd comes out on the weekends from who knows where. If you're spending top dollar for a Sunday River / Sugarloaf pass and you want to ski Shawnee Peak as well then you can pair it with a night pass. If you're skiing a full day, your probably going to Sunday River instead of Shawnee. Unless you're in the aforementioned crowd from who knows where.

Overall, the pricing seems pretty much the same except higher. No need to interrupt the formula that's worked for decades. Unfortunately the less robust competition in Maine does seem to lead to higher prices, but fortunately Boyne does a solid job running their places and the night pass pricing is a good sign they aren't going to turn it into another Sunday River or Sugarloaf.

Since night skiing is a big part of the Shawnee business model, I hope that one of the improvements Boyne makes is to upgrade the lighting so that diurnal creatures - i.e. humans - can actually see on the hill in the evening.

Well that is disappointing! I get the logic of not overwhelming SP but wish they had more flexibility to use SR/SL on the SP pass. They should have a SP Gold that gives you 5 days at SR/SL plus unlimited access in early/late season when SP is not operating. Seems like very little value to SP to being part of Boyne family.
