The fact that you think "the Storm has not delivered on its potential" is a HUGE part of what makes this thing great. Your product is phenomenal, and I think I consume about 25% of what I'm paying for. I'm not going to watch the YouTube. I read the newsletter until one of my kids bothers me, then rarely go back. I listen to the podcasts when I go on long walks with the dog, or recently on planes flying to and from the annual bro-ski-trip. Oddly, none of the other bros are interested in my newly gained insights into random ski areas in upstate New York. The fact that you continue to innovate and iterate what you are doing will only make The Storm better, keep it up!

Thanks for the openness here. And congratulations on making this your full-time job! Happy to hear that you're recovering from your health scares. I often think about how worth the price of this newsletter subscription is for the high-quality content. Keep up the excellent work, buddy! And as always, Go Blue!

Stuart, Sorry you’ve had such challenging health problems. Frightening but excellent you’re doing well now. I think your reporting and writing are/were excellent. I saw no decrement and I’m picky with words. I haven’t recovered sufficiently from some health problems to ski this year but am hopeful for next year. Weight on the downhill ski, good stance and move your center of mass smoothly through life. All the best, Dick

Stuart - I am one of your "quiet" subscribers who really appreciates your newsletter and your reporting. Informative, interesting and well written. I am so glad to hear that you are fully embracing this role as your job! Hey hey - why not? You're pretty damn good at it. Thank you for being you and for what you do here.

Best regards,

Tony Williams

Stuart,

What a wonderful post! I don't keep track, read some a lot, none occasionally, share from time to time, but overall just love the work you do in creating amazing content all about the wonderful world of ski areas/resorts/theme parks, whatever these places are called, which used to be called ski areas. For me, skiing is some of my favorite time alive: with friends, family or students in my ski lessons at Stratton...and sometimes it's just me when I crank it up and pretend I'm much younger than my years.

Don't worry, I'm sticking with you for as long as I'm skiing! All the best, stay healthy and looking forward to the 2026 season...I had my own medical moment a week ago, discovering that I've been harboring a growing kidney stone that's too large to "blast" with sound waves, so will go under the knife next week, and in the process miss my first actual March week at Snowbird since 1981. It's a bitter pill, but it is what it is. Yours truly, John Gelb, a very happy subscriber to the best and most informative news source about skiing in the world.
