Whenever you show up in the inbox it's going to be an enjoyable, typically epic read. Thanks.

The 45,000 ski areas in Quebec made me laugh. My daughter and I skied Tremblant the first week in Feb. On the drive from the Montreal airport to Tremblant you see about 42,000 of them. The weather was -28° (it doesn't matter "F" or "C") on the Friday and Saturday. Any exposed skin hurt searingly in 3 seconds and my $300 never fog goggles were completely iced in 5. I still have trouble putting two thoughts together. Of course we skied the entire weekend. In town, mommies were strolling their Quebecois babies as if it was 100° warmer. When asked about the weather they looked confused. What weather?

Thanks again.

Amazing... I think my favorite observation is that little old Wisconsin comes in 3rd in number of areas. Granted, some are little more than a bump but as a former Badger who learned to ski at Devils Head resort - I think that's pretty cool.
