Finished this pod today and enjoyed. Your interviews with independent ski area general managers are always my favorites . I had never heard of Pat's Peak before I purchased the Indy Pass. It's a heck of a drive from WNY, but Pat's Peak will be my first Indy Pass redemption this season. Can't wait!!

Great pod. Thanks to Stuart and Kris. I get over to Pats 1-2x/season and it’s always a top notch experience. Awesome insights in this pod. I love the snowmaking first philosophy and the idea of 250 hours of go temps before the holidays - the rest is just math. Thanks again

Wow he's on it. Great philosophy across so many aspects of running THIS SPECIFIC HILL. Stay in your lane. Hope I can get there on my Indy this winter.

One of your best guests to date. Pats Peak is an example of a ski area that does all the little things right. Vortex is the best chair there, they have a sign saying its for experts only because they run it fast for a fixed grip. Vortex is faster than the peak triple that has a loading carpet.

The SR analogy was poor. Locke and Barker are dynamically different lifts serving vastly different terrain. Locke only has 2 snowmaking runs off the top, Barker has 6. Barker has 2 designated glades off it, Locke has none. Barker directly connects to further west pods via Lazy River and/or 3 Mile trail. Locke, yes has Goat Path, but it you have ever cross country skied that to get to Lazy River, well there you go. Not exactly a pleasant connector. So yes, the base terminals are nearly side by side but they access drastically different terrain and is not just a detach vs FG issue. Not even close.
