Interesting podcast with Rusty Gregory. I think I sensed some apprehension from you regarding the selection Jared Smith as the next CEO. As do I. When Rusty mentioned Jared's experience working with Ticketmaster I was thinking WOW! Ticketmaster, really? IMO opinion Ticketmaster is not consumer friendly; the charges and fees are ridiculous and the consumer gets raked over the coals every time they purchase a ticket. Hopefully that business philosophy doesn't become part of Alterra's culture. Also how can they hire someone with little or no experience with the ski industry. To me it's an odd selection, but hey what do I know.
There is NO way that Mt. Tremblant’s annual snow fall average is 192”. More like 120” - if that! I am appalled by how ski areas inflate their annual snow fall and vertical drops! Snow fall is easier to fudge than vertical but I know areas who exaggerate (the most charitable modifier I could think of) both. I’m sure the executives who inflate these numbers all boast of their 16” peckers (at least the men). The women undoubtedly refer to these men as 16” peckers.
