I worked at Strand’s in high school in the 80s. It’s how I funded my ski race equipment habit (when my parents wouldn’t.) That place is one of a kind. Shame to see it go, but maybe worse to see it wrecked by a new direction.
Loved the conversation. Good variety of topics. I will second that Bolton's Vista Quad is always a disappointment, and that it was odd Alterra didn't build a high speed to the top of Sugarbush. Also found it funny that Shaun started referring to Cerro Catedral as "Cerro". It would be like saying you liked to ski at "Mount", but you meant Mt. Sunapee.
