I was here in 2022 (I think) when I skied a few other ski areas in Maine. I like to ski as many places as I can, so I carved out some time to stop here. It was still Shawnee at that time and not owned by Boyne, but the locals and management was very friendly and the views were great.
The folks at Sugarloaf were surprised that an out of stater was giving up a day at Sunday River or Sugarloaf to visit here, but I'm glad we did.
As a side note, I collect helmet stickers and I forgot to get one here, so I messaged them to see about buying one and having it mailed. They told me then that they were changing the name and new stickers were coming in, and they would mail me some for free when they did.
A few weeks later, an envelope came with several stickers in it (large and small). I have one on my helmet and another on my beer fridge in my shop.
Great read/listen. Nice job as usual. A bit disappointed that the timeline for some of the next wave of improvements (West expansion, East Lift replacement) seem farther off than I had hoped. Wish they would add an option for early/late season access to bigger mountains on the Pleasant Mountain pass (missing a month of skiing on both ends). Now I just need to decide if bidding on a triple chair is worth a potential call from a divorce lawyer (already in hot water for getting a Barker chair from SR).
Great Stuff and a long time coming for us locals here at Plesant - Looking forward to a 5 / 10 year plan as has happened at Sunday River etc. - Thank You Stewart
