To support independent ski journalism, please consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. Organizations can email skiing@substack.com to add multiple users on one account at a per-subscriber enterprise rate.

Over the past two and a half years, hundreds of you have reached out to me directly via email, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I try to reply to all messages that sound as though the sender doesn’t have human heads stored in their refrigerator (sometimes, though, I just get distracted). These interactions have produced tips that led to investigations and stories in the newsletter, insights that I would not have gotten elsewhere, and dialogues that in some cases now span years.

As a rule, I consider these conversations private and do not share them. However, I’ve often thought a question or insight was worth exploring in the broader public sphere. So why not try it? Ask me anything, about anything - multi-mountain passes, ski area consolidation, specific resort expansion plans, this past season, what you do or don’t like about The Storm, me, or whatever else you can think of - and I’ll answer a selection of questions in a post within the next week.

You can reply to this email with your question, or send an email to skiing@substack.com. As I’ve written before, I have very smart readers, who are insanely passionate about skiing. Let’s see what they can spin up, and where we can take the conversation.
